Review: Woes of the unemployed bakeholic

You know, life is one vicious cycle.
Having left my last job 2 months ago, I'm officially unemployed cum homemaker now. So this is how the story goes: when you're unemployed, you have more free time on your hand. And when you have more free time on your hand, the bakeholic in you starts to kick in and your entire head is filled with thoughts of you wanting to try out new recipes and drive everyone around you crazy with all the cupcakes, cakes, cookies, pies, tarts... that you can feed them with.
On the other hand, when you're unemployed, it also means one less source of income for the family, which also means you've gotta control the urge of splurging on unnecessary things, (by "unnecessary things", I mean, or rather my hubby means "baking equipment, baking ingredients, baking blah, blah, blah").
Now what's a bakeholic to do? Please companies which I've sent my resume to. Call me, maybe?

On a sweeter note, headed to PS. Cafe at Ann Siang Hill (A.S.H) Park last night for some after dinner sweet treats. Prices are on the steep side; 4 of us ordered 3 slices of cakes to share and that came up to be about $12/pax. But having said that, the dark chocolate cake is TO.DIE.FOR. Served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, every mouthful of cake is an intense burst of rich, dark chocolaty flavour.

We also shared a carrot ginger cake and a dark chocolate banana cheesecake. I would recommend the latter for its rich banana taste.
